Today I had the distinct pleasure of booking tours for a lovely couple who have been coming to Barbados for the past 15 years. To them Barbados is their second home, where great friendships have been forged and fond memories continue to be made.

Though not qualifying as yet, I am confident they will be future members of our island’s most prestigious club overseen by the National Tourism Host Programme of the Barbados Tourism Product Authority (BTPA) – The Over 25 Visits Club.  This club recognises and honours an elite category of Barbados traveller; the high-repeat visitor who has achieved ‘over 25 visits’.

It is essentially a big heartfelt Bajan thank you!  A token of appreciation and ultimate recognition of the continued loyalty these longstanding visitors display by choosing Barbados as their premier holiday destination again and again.  Over the years, the Barbados has recognised hundreds of loyal visitors the world over, like:

Unni Soeraa of Norway who in spite of the inevitable changes states “time stands still when I come back to Barbados,” and that is a positive for her.

Carlton Vickers from the USA, who declared “after visiting once I was hooked!”

Bruce Smith from the UK, now in his sixties, visited for the first time in his twenties.

All of them falling in love with Barbados’ many attributes; the near perfect year-round weather;  rich, diverse culture; warm, hospitable people and the innate ability to truly cater to the needs of all visitors by offering a first class vacation experience.

If you are a loyal visitor to Barbados, the executives at the Barbados Tourism Product Authority would be more than happy to hear from you.
